Cristiano Ronaldo's 30-meter free-kick against Abha named the most beautiful goal

On March 21st, Cristiano Ronaldo's 30-meter free-kick goal against Abha was voted the most beautiful goal of round 21 in the Saudi League. His goal received 54.6% of the votes on the Saudi League homepage, placing him first in the poll. Midfielder Igor Coronado (Al Ittihad) came in second with 30% of the votes, while Salem Al-Dawsari's (Al Hilal) goal took third place with 15.4% of the votes.

This was Ronaldo's ninth goal in eight matches for Al Nassr in the Saudi League, and his second time receiving the award for the most beautiful goal of the round. The first time the 38-year-old superstar achieved this was when he scored a left-footed strike from outside the box to lift the score to 2-0 against Damac in round 18 on February 25th, receiving 78% of the votes.

Ronaldo's free-kick goal helped Al Nassr equalize 1-1 against Abha on March 18th, before forward Anderson Talisca scored a penalty to seal the 2-1 victory for the home team. Despite his impressive performance, Ronaldo failed to make the team of the round, with the striker positions going to Odion Ighalo (Al Hilal) and Abderrazak Hamdallah (Al Ittihad).

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has received numerous personal awards such as "Best Player" in rounds 16 and 18, as well as in February for the Saudi League. He was also chosen as the best player of the western region for February by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on March 6th. The World Football Federation (FIFA) also praised Ronaldo, stating that "age is just a number" as he continues to score for Al Nassr.

Currently, Ronaldo is sixth in the race for the Saudi League's top scorer, with six goals less than the leader, Hamdallah. With nine rounds remaining in the season, the Portuguese striker still has a chance to take the lead.
