Following the 1-1 draw between Binh Duong and Hanoi clubs in the 9th round of the V.League, Coach Philippe Troussier took the opportunity to meet and interact with several players before the Vietnam national team gathering.
After the match concluded, Coach Troussier descended to the field, where he shook hands and engaged in a nearly 10-minute conversation with Coach Le Huynh Duc. The French strategist also met with Tien Linh, offering advice and guidance. Notably, Troussier approached goalkeeper Tan Truong, even though they had never worked together before.
During the previous national team gathering in March, Tan Truong was not included in the called-up list. The goalkeepers at that time were Dang Van Lam, Tran Nguyen Manh, and Nguyen Van Toan.
Furthermore, Troussier gathered Pham Tuan Hai, Nguyen Thanh Chung, and Do Duy Manh together for a discussion. The trio, who play for Hanoi FC, displayed solid performances in the match against Binh Duong.
Before the game, Coach Troussier was present in the stands of Binh Duong stadium alongside his language assistant and assistant coach, Nguyen Viet Thang. His intention was to observe the match between the host team and the defending champions of the V.League 2022.
