The agent of defender Achraf Hakimi, Alejandro Camano, has accused Fayza Lamari, the mother of Kylian Mbappe, of trying to exploit her son's friendship with Hakimi in an attempt to represent the Moroccan player. Camano, who represents Hakimi, expressed surprise and disappointment at Lamari's actions, stating that Hakimi is a valued member of the Footfeel family and has been committed to their project for many years.
"We are surprised that the mother of an important player like Mbappe would try to attract another star," Camano told AS. "Achraf is a member of the Footfeel family, he has been convinced of the company's project for many years."
Camano further added, "Achraf has a good relationship with Kylian, and we respect that. It is unusual for Mbappe's relatives to disclose that Achraf could join the Mbappe family's agency. This also shows a lack of experience on Mbappe's agent's part."
The remarks from Camano came to light after it was revealed that Lamari, Mbappe's mother, had been attempting to become Hakimi's agent. Taking advantage of the close friendship between her son and the PSG defender, Lamari tried to convince Hakimi to change his representation. The agent of striker Lautaro Martinez also confirmed that Mbappe's family's actions were seen as disrespectful to their fellow agents.
Hakimi and Mbappe have been close friends during their time together at PSG. The Moroccan defender has previously expressed dissatisfaction with the way players from Argentina or Brazil cover for each other after poor results. However, he has received support from Mbappe and other French players. Meanwhile, Lamari is currently in negotiations with PSG's management to help facilitate her son's potential move to Real Madrid.
