Paris Capital Team Plans Player Sales to Boost Transfer Budget for Summer

In a bid to bolster their transfer budget for the summer, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) club is looking to offload several players who are no longer in their plans, according to AS. PSG's coach Luis Enrique and Advisor Luis Campos have compiled a list of players who are deemed surplus to requirements for the upcoming season, including Juan Bernat, Keylor Navas, Abdou Diallo, Gini Wijnaldum, Colin Dagba, Julian Draxler, and Layvin Kurzawa.

Even loanee Hugo Ekitike from Reims, who joined PSG in the summer of 2022, is facing difficulties in securing a permanent spot. Additionally, players like Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, Timothee Pembele, and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are uncertain about their future at Parc des Princes.

With the first team consisting of over 30 players, PSG aims to trim down their squad to reduce the salary burden and increase their transfer budget. Among the mentioned players, the most valuable ones are Mauro Icardi (valued at 19 million euros according to Transfermarkt), Paredes (12 million euros), and Bernat (10 million euros).

Earlier, PSG made significant investments, spending close to 90 million euros on newcomers such as Manuel Ugarte, Milan Skriniar, Lee Kang-in, and Marco Asensio. The club is also eyeing Joao Felix and Bernardo Silva to bolster their attacking prowess for the upcoming season.

Regarding Kylian Mbappe's future, PSG has given him a deadline of 1-2 weeks to make a decision. Cadena SER has revealed that Real Madrid has prepared a contract for Mbappe, offering him a 5-year deal with a salary of 50 million euros per season. If Mbappe moves to Real Madrid this summer, PSG expects to earn 200 million euros, avoiding financial losses in the following year.
