Pressure Mounts on U22 Vietnam Coach Troussier after Hard-Fought Victory over Laos

After a lackluster performance in their recent match against Laos U22, pressure is mounting on coach Philippe Troussier and the U22 Vietnam team. Despite winning 2-0, many have expressed concern about the team's performance against a weaker opponent.

Former player Dang Phuong Nam criticized the team's lack of quality mid and long redirects, slow attack direction, and limited group coordination. He also noted that the three central defenders did not perform well, except for Tuan Tai.

Similarly, Chung, the head coach of a team in the V-League, stated that the team lacked a real leader, which is crucial for young players who need seniors to lead on the field. He also noted that Troussier needs more time to build a satisfactory squad, and that the current U22 players do not have many opportunities to practice due to scheduling difficulties.

Expert Vu Manh Hai echoed similar sentiments, stating that Troussier needs more support and that the team needs a clearer offensive strategy to perform well in future matches.

Despite the criticisms, some have expressed optimism that Troussier and his team can improve in the upcoming matches. However, it is clear that U22 Vietnam will need to work harder and improve their game if they hope to advance in the tournament.
