When asked about the possibility of a return to the Spanish giants, Kubo firmly stated, "I'm a Real Sociedad player now, so the door for me to return to Real Madrid is closed right now." The talented midfielder also mentioned that it is unlikely for him to play for another club in the upcoming season, highlighting his contentment at Sociedad.
Kubo's outstanding performance in the 2022/23 La Liga season, where he contributed 9 goals and 4 assists, played a pivotal role in helping Real Sociedad secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in a decade.
